Such a special #medalmondayfor me this morning! I know for so many people a sub 2 half is slow but for me it meant so much! I failed 3 times after my first half when I ran a 2:02 but I kept pushing and trying because I knew I COULD DO IT! I cried when I stopped at the finish line, you would have thought I BQ'd but it was such a mental breakthrough for me! 🙌🏻
These are some of the thoughts that went through my head while I was running: - you wake up at 3:45 every day to run, lift, cross train... do this for those early mornings.
- if you stop, you will regret it later, you can rest your legs when you are done. - ALL of you guys! All the support, all the encouragement, and the cheers... ❤
- My support system. My family, my kids, my special friends in my life that cheer me on, and doing this so they could stop hearing me say "I want a sub 2" but now they will just hear a new goal 😂
- MYSELF! Two years ago I became a runner, running a 11 minute pace, as I watched some of the movies they had playing on the course I thought of myself as a little girl watching these strong Princesses and I wanted to be one!
